How to Teach The Dog to Bring Objects

The media and the movies always stand this behavior: a dog that brings the most different objects for you. But it's not always as easy as it may seem teaching.

It can be a ball, the very guide before the tour, the newspaper, frisbee, one bottle .... but have you tried and did not really work?

We were asking for some tips to the director of the Ideal Dog, Gustavo Campelo, to find out what the most effective way to teach the command to bring objects.

If your dog already has this genetic tendency or part of the group of retriever dogs, the task can be much easier. Breeds and Golden Retriever as part of this group for example. If your dog has never shown much courage in this playful style the task may be more complicated because you need to build behavior, preferably as soon as possible.

Step 1: Start praising every time he brings the object you choose and do not try to take it. Just do care.

Step 2: Train fairly step one and then change the object for a snack he likes. Careful not to overdo the snacks! Divide each into several small pieces instead of giving various integers.

Step 3: When you realize that he already drops the object in most cases, start a verbal command. Can be "loose," "wide" or any word you choose for this command. Praise forever!

After practicing the step 3 is already expected him to release the object when you hear the voice command.

If you experience difficulty in this or other training, you can contact the Ideal Dog.
